Opening Presents

Since we are in Austin for Christmas this year, we opened our presents from each other at home the night before Christmas Eve. Jackson still LOVES unwrapping all of the gifts. That seems to be more fun than playing with the presents themselves. Preston enjoyed it too.

Miss-Muss with Santa

The boys with Santa this year...

Jackson with Santa in 2007. Can you believe how much they look alike?

Trail of Lights!

Sunday night we took the boys to the Trail of Lights at the Botanical Gardens. Jackson loved seeing "Miss-Muss" lights and Preston fell asleep.

We thought Jackson might enjoy it now that he's starting to understand a little more about Christmas and Santa. On Saturday, he told Santa he wanted cookies for Christmas. He wouldn't smile but at least he took a picture on Santa's lap this year!

Our little snuggle bear

I think he really wanted to run around and look at the lights

The train and the dinosaur and the plane were big hits with Jackson

Big 12 Championship Game

This past weekend we went to Dallas to watch Texas play Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship. It was the most stressful game I have ever been to or even seen! The win made the trip worth it and the new Cowboys stadium is impressive!

No, we don't know this guy but he must have been freezing!

Thanksgiving 2009

Nonny and Meemo came to visit us for Thanksgiving this year. We had Greenberg Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, corn casserole, deviled eggs, salad, coconut cream pie, pumpkin roll and buttermilk pie. Preston had formula, baby food and a bite or two of mashed potatoes. Both he and Jackson enojoyed spending time with my mom and Grandmother.

Playtime

Preston loves to play with this drum that Jackson wouldn't even pay attention to as a baby. Maybe it's the fact that he can sit up and do it?

Sesame Street Live

Today, I took the boys to see Sesame Street Live with a group of friends. We had so much fun! Jackson and the other kids were so excited to see some of their favorite characters in person. We got to sit in the Gallagher's suite which was really nice.

Preston probably watched more intently than Jackson.

And he even dressed for the occasion!

The Hot Dog Dance

Yesterday while Scott was playing golf, the boys and I watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I finally got to see the Hot Dog Dance that April has warned us is quite hilarious! You'll have to judge for yourself.

Not old enough to dance yet...

Happy Half-Birthday Preston!

On Saturday, Preston turned 6 months old! The boys had shots today and here is Preston's info...

Weight: 15 1/2 lbs (25th percentile)
Height: 26 1/4" (50th percentile)

He's still a tiny thing! But he's a sweet, happy baby!

Halloween 2009

For Halloween this year, Jackson was a pirate and Preston was a parrot. On Friday, April brought them up to the Trick or Treat Event at my work.

Our HR Department dressed as pirates too. Here they are in their ship with their little pirate and his parrot.

On Saturday, we had some friends over to watch the Texas game. Jen and I took the boys trick or treating in the golf cart while everyone else stayed to watch and give out candy. When we got back, Jackson loved giving out candy to all of the neighborhood kids. He got really upset with me if I even tried to help him!

Posing for pictures. Jackson is such a ham! And look at Preston with his thumb!

Their gear...

Major was a pirate too. He wouldn't wear his pirate hat though.
Libby was Tinkerbell!
